All is quiet...
not much to report right now. When I look at our timeline (to the right of this post), I'm surprised to see that we actually have had a flurry of activity in the past month on the adoption front. I'm thankful that things are progressing, but also want things to hurry up already! We have our final visit with our social worker this weekend. Then Greg and I go to Indy next Wednesday for our fingerprints. After that, we just wait...wait for the homestudy to be written and our approval from immigration. As much as we are anxious to have Baby A with us, I'm finding myself relishing these "lasts" with our current family of four. There will be things that we won't be able to do as easily when we have a toddler among us. So for that reason, I'm trying to make the most of our time with our "big kids". This will be our last Christmas season as *this* family. It's fun to think of what next year's Christmas will be like...better enjoy those breakable ornaments on the lower branches of the Christmas tree while we can! Fires in the fireplace may not happen as frequently with a then two year old in the house. And sleeping in on the weekends? Forget it! I've parented two toddlers already, so I know how it's going to be! Funny the things we do for love. Living in limbo...excited and longing for the future, but also really soaking in and feeling the present...treasuring these things in my heart.
