I'm so happy to say that our precious dossier is finally out of my hands and on its way to Virginia where it will be authenticated and then shipped to Ethiopia!!! I had been experiencing quite a bit of "back labor" in the last few days as I had to go BACK (3 times for the medicals!) and get bank statements and medical reports redone due to little errors. But, Glory-Hallelujah, this chapter is over and now the waiting for our court date begins! Our dossier should reach Ethiopia by next Tuesday, and then it will be about 2-4 weeks before we find out when our case will go to court. We are still unsure if we'll need to be there in person for this court date...we will just have to wait and see. There is a small chance that our papers could be where they need to be just in time to still qualify for the one trip...totally in God's hands. There's absolutely nothing we can do at this point! And I kind of like that! Now it's time to start thinking about our garage sale fundraising plans...not sure when we are going to have it...probably end of April or middle of May. We've been collecting stuff from friends and family, and our music room is about to burst, so we better have it soon. If you have anything to donate to the garage sale, let me know. Greg has a truck so we can even come and pick stuff up.
The pic above is of us and sweet Carol from the Urbana Free Library who patiently notarized at least 30 documents for us last week. Yippee!!!
